Great Addition to Our Mixer Accesories
After reading so many bad reviews of this item, we order this 1 piece pour shield and the older model 2 piece pour shield for our Kitchen Aid 4.5qt Bowl. I don’t know what all the complaining is about, both items worked well for us, they stayed on and did help decrease the mess made by the mixing process. The 2 piece does cover more area but takes a bit of time to assemble and get into place while the current style 1 piece just pops on and off. Best of all, no more egg sloshing out onto my clothes as I mix and less powdery flour everywhere each time we use our mixer.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Does not fit snug
I was expecting this to fit my 4.5QT stainless steel bowl on my Kitchenaid stand mixer as advertised. It just sits on the bowl loosely. I would have expected it to snap on. I tried to get the tabs to fit on the outside or the inside of the bowl. Either way, it does not fit properly. I’m sorry I bought this. Update: I set up my mixer for French bread (7 cups of flour). New meets Old and works!!
I have a fantastic Kitchenaid Commercial 5qt. mixer and have never liked the original two piece pour shield that I have been using for (ugh) years. This new design fits my old bowl perfectly and doesn't come apart while in use and super easy to clean. Works well, but be careful cleaning it
It does what it is supposed to do, but hot water in the sink caused it to warp. Using boiling water and a weight, was able to get it back into suitable shape to work again. Be careful when washing!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Don’t buy knock offs, you can tell the quality in KitchenAid vs others. I saw a friend with a knock off one, hers didn’t quite fit as nicely. Mine is authentic and has a tightness around the bowl that I really like, no leakage and easy to use.

This pour shield will fit either the 4.5 qt. or the 5 qt. tilt head KitchenAid stand mixers. It's easy to install and helps prevent spilled ingredients while mixing. not good for the 4.5 Qt bowl.
The listing says works with 4.5 and the 5 Qt bowl. It dose not!! I have the 4.5 Qt bowl and it dose not fit right. Flour every were and very very loose.
