Makes a good ring light for my milling machine.
I used this light to make a ring light for my vertical Bridgeport type milling machine. I made an aluminum ring with four 0.375" rare earth magnets glued into it and glued this ring to the light head with epoxy. The magnets hold the ring light to the mill quill well. The size is just right and it works great. The light brightness can be nicely adjusted and the electric cord is long enough so that it can be safely routed to the power bar I have mounted on the wall behind the mill. I purchased this option with the hope that it would provide perfect lighting for my new scope. I found it fit very well with the adaptor ring supplied and works excellent to provide the illumination I needed. The only negative I see is that you can not use the lens cover to protect the scope when not in use without removing the adaptor ring. No big deal for sure, but, were it to be redesigned so that the adaptor ring was threaded internally and accepted the scope cover then it would be a perfect aftermarket solution.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Easy to set up, simple to use, anda very cost effective accessory.
This ring light is a "must have" if you need proper lighting for microscope viewing or picture taking. I thought I had a better idea, I bought a set of lamps to set up near my scope for lighting, this cost more money and took up a lot more desk space, and I never could get the full light coverage that is needed to produce the best image quality. With this ring light, when adjusting the brightness the light color appears to be very consistent when dimming or brightening without any yellowing or bluing of the light color. The price is very reasonable, it is very easy to mount, and very easy to adjust the light intensity.
