Just what I was looking for!
I was looking for a small but functional hatchet. The Stihl was perfect! It's fairly lightweight and has a pretty decent cutting edge. You may have to fine tune it a bit but all in all a very good hatchet for the money. It does not come with a sheath. It has a little rubber mask on it which is fine but very easy to lose.I'll be making a sheath for mine. Good little hatchet I can recommend it with out pause.

I've been using this hatchet for an environment enrichment program that my wife and family run for children in our 17 acre Wood lot. So far so good. It's primary use is to limb smaller boughs and for splitting firewood for kindling using the buddy system whereby one child holds the axe and the other strikes the butt with a wooden mallet or a small log. As a side note I really like the lines and the feel for me is just right. With a few cosmetic changes it's perfect.
