Wood razor
I needed this for tropical hardwood turning blanks and for 3/4” walnut lumber. I was worried it might be a bit slow cutting the walnut as I had long cuts to make along my penciled shapes, but it was faster than me. It could cut faster than I could track my pencil line, so I had to slow down and be more careful. I don’t need it for re-sawing lumber like 2x4s into 1x4s or anything like that. I’ve heard it is a bit underpowered for that but will work if you take it slow, but for what I got it for which is a much better alternative to a jig saw on 3/4” and up, it is perfect. Absolutely perfect. It takes up little room, slides to the back of the work bench, and it’s just there in an instant for what I need. One of the pictures is a tight radius piece cut from 1-1/2” hard maple with no burning on the edges. Awesome product.

Band saw
My problem is that this was advertised in metal working and fabrication. Even with the metal blade it can't cut mild steel which is what I needed. It should be advertised as a wood working tool.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
