I just installed this post to hold the touch pad for access to the gate. It was easy to assemble, very sturdy, and the price reasonable. The company shipped the post very quickly. I have no complaints.

I read several reviews where buyers were unhappy with their post because the sections "wiggled" at the connection joints. As a precaution, I put some JB weld (epoxy) on the connectors and tightened the connector screws. Let it sit and cure for 24 hours. My post is perfectly rigid. It is sitting in a concrete base right now, waiting for cement to set. Nice post.

We installed the mounting post in concrete and a few weeks later found it to be moving. When we dug it up - we found it snapped off at one of the junctions at the concreted level. We are guessing that someone clipped it with their car but there were no other signs of damage and noone confessed. We have ordered this new one as a replacement. I wish this post was more substantial so that if someone hit it with ttheir car then they would regret it and not us.

The post is a perfect addition to your keypad. Stylish design and heavy duty all aluminum body means no rust down the road. The powder coat finish is excellent and should last many years. The connections are all male and female threaded for a excellent connection of the sections. Plus the first joint above the ground once concreted in the ground means you can access your wiring if your ever have a problem down the road. This post is worth the extra money versus a old 4x4 post. Gives a estate gate feel to your setup. We love it.
