La Bella's Flatwound Deep Talkin' Bass strings became a top choice for professional bass players way back in the 1950s, and their popularity has never flagged. Made from hand-polished stainless steel, these flatwound bass strings deliver a profoundly deep and vibrant tone with all the sustain you could ask for, and they retain their tone well after standard flatwounds have gone dead. No strings on the market play as smooth on a standard electric bass, and they feel absolutely luxurious on a fretless. If you're in the market for superior flatwound strings, La Bella's Flatwound Deep Talkin' Bass strings are it.
I am 44,I starting playing drums when i was 10,and 6 string guitar when I was 14, at 43 I became an official bass player. I bought a used bass,it sounded awesome but then I thought maybe it could use new strings, only because I had no idea how old they were or even what brand. After some internet based research,I decided to get the Labella Deep talking bass flatwound stainless. So I changed the strings, plugged my guitar in.....WTF? Where did all my sustain and tone go? Good thing I was careful removing the old strings, because I re-installed them the next day, then BAM! Tone and sustain is back again! At this point I am GUESSING the strings that came on the bass are Ernie Balls,I am just gonna run the old ones. IF one ever breaks I 'll have to figure out what brand they are for sure. I always want the BEST,(within my own means), but was disappointed with my decision to try these.
