Awesome Non-programable Digital Thermostat
A multi purpose non-programmable digital thermostat. Easy to use on different types of heating and air condition systems. Maybe powered by 2 AA batteries and/or system 24vac power. This thermostat protects compressors from starting too soon after a short duration power failure. Even though it is from China (under many different brand names), it is so well designed and manufactured, the four of them in our home have never had a problem of any kind. Braeburn 1200NC - Key Tips to Install
I had two programmable thermostats. They wanted to use the factory setting to control my week. They were also very hard to program. However, I am retired and and home all day and wanted easy control over the house Heat and Air. A professional HVAC guy recommended this model. The HVAC guy installed one and I did the other. If you are replacing a unit take a camera photo of how the wiring is hooked up in the old unit prior to removal. If you have difficulty with the new unit you can always put the old unit back in with the photo of the wireing. Youtube has lots of videos on how to install new Thermostat control units. Very helpful. However, none of them, or the printed instructions said to turn off the circuit breaker(s) that control the Air/Heat system. This will prevent the lower 24 volt thermostat wires from damaging or blowing a fuse (not in your fuse box) if the wrong wires touch. You will need a medium screwdriver to mount the unit to the wall if the holes are already in place. A very small Phillips (crosspoint) screwdriver is also needed to tighten a screw on each of the connected wire. The printed instructions had several charts of what wires did what function. However, it lacked a drawing of the actual row of connectors inside the unit and what color wire goes to each connector. This is why I gave the unit 4 of 5 stars.
