This product IS NOT for the novice! It almost works too good for the professional. Thread locking is virtually instantaneous. Just the small amount of heat generated when threading two items together will initiate locking. If there is a future plan to separate the parts bonded, use a milder form of locking agent, such as Loctite Blue. If misalignment can occur, dry fit all parts BEFORE bonding. Make locating marks, and mask any part that should not be coated with this adhesive. Super bond strength. Test thread bonding on similar, but sacrificial, parts first. Freezing threaded parts may slow the bonding action. YOU GET ONE CHANCE! No joke. Use sparingly.

This product is much better for applications requiring strength between bonded pieces of plastic. In the past, I have used it for toolbox handles where the toolbox was tremendously overloaded. The handle broke again, but not in the location where this adhesive was used to fix it previously. In other words, the bond was stronger than the material that it was bonding. I have used this in innumerable applications and have never been disappointed. It gives some time to position the pieces since it doesn't instantly bond. So, I typically use it with an accelerator to instantly set it once everything is in place.

I've been using loctite 272 for years and it's never failed me. If what your working on has to stay tite then Loctite 272 is what you want.
