DiMarzio Jazz Bass DP 149 pickups
I own 16 basses. All Fender Jazz and Precision, except a Carvin LB70 that I purchased in 1995. I constantly change pickups, bridges, pots, and even necks, looking for a perfect tone. I mainly use Seymour Duncan, EMG, and Fender pickups. I saw the DiMarzio DP 149 set for only $120, so I decided to give them a try. (my first Dimarzio set). I put them in a Fender 77 Jazz reissue. I was very surprised. The highs were very clear without being brittle, the mids were smooth, and the bass was low and punchy without being booming. I would recommend these pickups to anyone looking for a great sound, at a good price.
