I'm an experienced musician but a total beginner on saxophone. I haven't used other reeds to compare, so take this with a grain of salt. The reeds look very consistent; I don't see any significant difference in the cut, etc. The first one out of the box was easy to get good tone out of and not hard to play. If you're just starting out, I don't think you could go wrong with these. More advanced players will have their personal preferences but I wouldn't be surprised if there are some pros who choose these over the fancier stuff.
