Good replacement for stock in mid 2000's car
If you drive a used average or just above average car, this is perfect for you for a couple of reasons. In terms of security, you can pop the face off and hide in your glove box, which my box locks so I always felt pretty good about leaving it there. Sound is average, but most people in used cars don't have systems or speakers that are above average so this is perfect. Fantastic Radio
This is by far the best radio I have ever had. The price was terrific and the Bluetooth phone hookup is so simple and the display tells you the title and artist of songs on the radio and those sent from my phone on bluetooth. The remote works great and is really simple to set the clock and stations. I like it so well I bought another one just like it for one of my other cars. I really don't have anything bad to say about the radio other than I wish you could make the numbers larger on the clock. I installed this receiver in my 2003 Mazda Protege 5 and it brought my sound system into the modern age. The Bluetooth functionality paired with my Nexus 5 Android phone is awesome. I stream music from Google Music and Pandora. The receiver controls music playback wonderfully. Making phone calls with the supplied microphone is quite the yeast treat as well. This is the first and only receiver that I have ever installed. Soldering the wire harness was easy since all of the wires were labeled clearly. Looks and sounds good in my Turbo II RX7
Got exactly what I wanted and much quicker than I was expecting. I wasn't planning on using the phone option but tried it just to see. The mic that comes with the radio didn't pick up very well(at least during the test call I made) unless it's right up to my mouth. This unit syncs with my android phone perfectly. Pandora and IHeart radio integrate nicely and google music text also appears on the screen when using Bluetooth. The amount of display colors are great and another good feature is being able to adjust the brightness of the display so it isn't so annoying and distracting.
