ALMOST a Real Floyd
I have several (40 or 50) guitars with whammy bars. The only real difference in a locking nut system is tuning. Once the guitar is in tune, they all stay in tune equally well. That being said, the higher quality ones, Floyd rose, Floyd rose special, and many Ibanez systems, the biggest difference is how fine the adjustment is on the fine tuners. They say a Floyd Rose special is the same as the “real” Floyd Rose, but I find the “real” slightly finer on the adjustments. Also a “real” Floyd is made of hardened steel and a solid brass sustain block, which a special does not have. Overall, the next best thing to the “real” thing.
