I received the foot switch in the mail. I installed the switch and it worked as advertised. The cable is speaker wire type but remember this is a inexpensive foot switch so don't expect it to be the quality of more expensive products. Works great, it covers the ball of my foot. I have it laying on the rug floor and use the switch bare foot. Took some time to get here but no big deal for me. KK6YO
