recommended with mic plugged into PC soundcard
PC soundcards, especially motherboard integrated, have low voltage for microphone power. This phantom power supply will boost microphone signal up to 20dB. Signal boost is not much noticeable with dedicated soundcard as it has higher phantom voltage and external phantom power unit is not necessary. Warning for EU 230V country voltage, US power adapter can't be used with simple reduction! For 230V you will need any other adapter with AC 18V(12V minimum) output.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I bought this because my bandmate had a Neewer Mic that needed phantom power. We are finally getting back to recording, for the most part just me for now, I didn't even realize this phantom power was the same brand as the mic. I was pretty skeptical about this brand because you get what you pay for but but right now I'm on an ultra budget for recording and this, I was hoping, would at least satisfy my minimal needs. It has surpassed that. Both the mic and the phantom power are surprisingly clear. I've had many other mics and this one is right up there with them in quality almost. I haven't really done a bunch testing yet but I am happy. If this phantom power box lasts more than 5 years I'll be real happy and looking for another for sure.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

It came with what it was suppose to come with. I use it to hook up my condenser mic to my computer for game streaming. Only thing I notice that I had to force turn up the mic cause no matter how close I was to it I sounded very quiet. Easy fix on setting. Haven’t had any other problems regardless. If you plan on purchasing this make sure you also purchase the special cord that plugs into computer in which this bunch only has the power cable and the mic cable but not the computer cable.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

To wrap up your Neewer setup
It works fine, simple to use, but the DC plug is huge. Also, that silver tab you see above the input plug can get caught on your xlr cable and make it a pain in the ass to unplug. I still can't get mine out so i used another cable extender with the right male end to connect to my mic. Maybe its just mine.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Neewer Phantom Power Supply - Gets the Job Done
There's not much you can say about a phantom power supply, except to say it gets the job done, quietly. Provides the full 48V phantom power needed for your condenser microphone, without adding to your sound floor. Tested my sound floor with and without the Neewer phantom power, with zero difference. (Note: microphone was powered with 14V from a Behringer Mixer when not using phantom power supply.) The phantom power supply allows me to use other microphones that do not power properly with just the 14V from my Behringer mixer. Pro quality at bargain price
Arrived in just a few days. The unit is very light-weight but of sturdy metal construction. Comes with a 6 foot XLR (male-female) cable to wire in your mic. Powers up my tascam condenser microphone without any noise or hum. Works great. Price is great for what you get. I can take it on the road with the rest of my touring gear without any problem. I always need an extra phantom power or two for those sound systems that don't provide it or don't have enough channels with it. Having your own phantom power and direct boxes is the sign of a self-sufficient professional, not some amateur kid who has to rely on everyone else to get them hooked in.
