very realistic but I wish it were more durable
We purchased one of these for our first grandson at 2 1/2 years old, below the recommended age group. He was so interested and excited about the realism that we chose to disregard the age recommendation and indeed, he did break it within a few short months but continued to play with it. Our second grandson is now 3 1/2 years old and knows he must be careful. So far, so good. I do wish that at key points of possible breakage the manufacturer would improve the strength of the construction, making the toy reasonable for younger kids who are so excited for the features.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Operating the Excavator!
Although I wished it to be metal, the superfine detail and operation, plus the reality of the piece speaks for itself! My only complaint are the middle of the track segments, where you install "Rubber" non slip pieces, it's really not needed or required, it rolls just fine!
