Insteon Starter Kit
I have an assortment of plugs, bulbs and switches running off the hub and I am quite happy with them all. Certain items are on automatic schedules, and I have scenes set up for get togethers. No more running around the house to turn certain lights on full or dim. Open the app, hit one button, and the mood is set! The ability to turn lights on with a cell phone before I get home is very nice. The only down side is the need for an internet connection for the hub.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A little tricky
Well I considered myself fairly descent in the tech department, then I got this. The android app is a little clunky and in my experience a darn right bare to get it to connect. Once that was done...by calling tech support..I moved on to setup my two insteon SD wifi camera's. Two things...insteon no longer supports the SD models and really won't even help out other than pointing you to the Manuel. I never could get the second camera to connect to the app. I eventually downloaded a separate app to connect and control them....this app worked flawlessly. Forgot to mention the camera I was able to connect to the app wasn't able to move the direction at all. The other switches and the leak detector as of now work great. I would recommend this if it's your first try at home automation, but based on the android app I would look at other products. I purchase this item simply to get the two on/off dimmer modules for my network. The hub wasn't working but can be rehabilitated if desired. Just replace a single capacitor (minor soldering effort) or return to Insteon for the effort. Nonetheless, I plan neither. Highly recommended this kit works with Alexa
