It hasn't been 30 days yet, but so far it prints like a dream, and it does beautiful photo-like images in black and white. I guess tech products invoke a deep spirited cynicism as I have been hurt before by stuff burning out. I think a year from now will give me a better perspective. I have no quarrel as to shipping times and ease of use. I love it right now. Dell has a good reputation in office equipment, so I went Dell.

Ordered this printer as a Christmas gift for my dad. It is a great printer, however it didn't come with an installation CD. Which was fine, I figured I can download the drive from the Dell Support website. And that's what I did. Unfortunately, after downloading the driver from the website, it stated that there was a problem found with its contents. I tried downloading the different drives on their website and received the same error message. It's a great printer to have overall. If only we could install the driver and get it to work.

If most of your printing needs are B & W this is the way to go. The “test” cartridge prints three times what inkjet would. The regular ones which I got 2 for $17, each print 2600 pages!! Fast network printer, two sided, nice print quality and quiet. So I’ve got close to six thousand pages to print before I have to spend another $17!!!
