Easy to use, just plug and play. Headphone jack works pretty good sometimes it doesn't get sound through it and I have to unplug it then replug it. With puff off it picks up everything so it has to be super silent. Also sometimes it has a voice lag when recording, noticed on play back. When puff on it sounds beautiful, tone is wonderful, excellent clarity. Same when puff off sounds awesome as well. Definitley can work on your vocals with this. Not sure how instruments sound when recording still have yet to try it, but can't wait. Recommend for all types of singers and and level beginner or professional use and recording. CAD U1000 USB: A Musician's Perspective
I purchased the microphone to record classical and steel string guitar and also vocals. I've used the CAD with Audacity and Mixcraft. In both instances I was pleased with the clarity and fidelity of the recorded material using the CAD. I was even able to use it with a Dell Venue Pro tablet with the help of an OTG cable. The key to achieving great sounds is mic placement and that certainly applies to this mic. The microphone is a steal at its current price. My first impressions of the U1000
For being as cheap as it is, you would expect something that feels really plastic and cheap and that's not so. The sound qualities stellar for what it is has a few features that you seem to only find on higher end microphones.
