  • room for improvement

This item was purchased for W126 batteries for a Fuji XT1. The holder width is fine but the depth is too great, seating the W126s below the light gray bias tape and allowing them to slide around though the flap is closed. The will velco hold, preventing the battery from falling out, but the 3/4 inch gap makes for a sloppy fit. By comparison, the Nikon EL3e width fits snugly and because the length extends above the light grey bias tape it allows the flap to fold over snugly. If thinkTank wants to improve their product, they could extend the loop section of velco, so that the hooks on the flap have more area to fasten to - making the holder useful to a variety of battery sizes, not just one.

  • High priced

I bought mine for under $11. I think it should have been priced about 1/2 of that. The quality of construction and materials is good. It is not padded, but I don't think it should be in the interest of a compact profile and weight. The pockets are snug for my Nikon en-el15 and en-el3 batteries. However the factory terminal protectors cannot be used. They are redundant when this case is used. There is no flap or other device to designate charged or discharged batteries, but a convention such as terminals turned to bottom of pocket for charged, terminals to pocket opening for discharged will suffice. Other than the price being high for a product of Vietnam, it is OK. I would be happier if this had been made in the USA and would accept the high price.
