Slugs!! Millions of them!
We live in the forest, and have slugs. LOTs of slugs. I'd tried pellets (and NEVER Metaldahyde....,it kills birds and animals who eat it!) and only Ferrous sulfate. We also have a lot of rain, so the pellets, powder, got sticky and useless. I was thinking I'd never have pansies or any tender plants. Then, I found Deadline Liquid. Wow! You put it around the plant when you plant it, and every month or so, renew it. It's a little labor intensive, but it WORKS! I've had pansies all summer, they don't bother my peas, and it's WONDERFUL! I've had people suggest beer, but it doesn't work. Deadline Liquid DOES.....and the critters don't pay attention to it, so aren't affected, except slugs, and snails....which we also have. I buy Deadline Liquid on sale, and use it ALL SUMMER!
