Good Filter, Low Cost
This is the input filter for the Respironics Everflo and Everflo Q. It's easy to install, and it's cheap enough to change frequently. If you own your own Everflo oxygen concentrator, I think it's smart to change this filter more often than required. First, it can't hurt anything and Second, because it ensures you don't overwork (wear out) your concentrator. I suspect this will extend the life of your unit. I have seen medical equipment providers change this filter annually. I suggest six months instead if you own yours. By a year, it's really a mess in the filter compartment (depends on how dusty your environment is) .
You should turn the unit off to change the filter. Open the little snap tight door to find the old filter. I think you should vacuum the area, or clean it thoroughly somehow, before replacing the filter. Then when you pull the old one out, you won't drop excessive dust into the unit's air path. One of the beauties of these particular concentrators is the easy filter change.
