NOT ONLY A STRIPPER BUT A RIPPER!
Very good tool. Well made. Spare blade inside handle. You have to pre-adjust it to your cable. It has to be adjusted for the insulation thickness. Too deep and of course it will damage the wiring. You can go slightly under that and kind of score the insulation, then bend and ''snap'' it. additionally once you have the cable insulation cut circumferentially you can pull the stripper down toward the end of the cable and the knife will make a rip cut in the insulation making it easier to remove that outer covering... which is what you are trying to do in the first place. The tool is well made but it is hard plastic and if you drop it to a hard surface it can break. The tool used to have a blade too but I think they have revised it and eliminated it. One other thing: I have only used it on multi-conductor or twisted pair cables. I imagine you could use it on single conductor wire like that used in a service entrance but I have never tried it like that.
