While being a beautiful piece of hardware and a beautiful design. By the very nature of it having a pivot, there is one two three degrees of slop at the pivot. If I had this purchase to do over again I would opt for the non swiveling version. Even extended as in the fixed version this bubble level does not protrude far enough outward to snag on anything especially if you're using a very large rifle scope.
