Great for aging eyes
Was having lots of trouble using the iron sights that come standard on my Marlin 336. Ordered the fiber optic sights and they have been just what a 63 yr old hunter with aging eyes needed. Older Models Beware!
Truglo says that this will fit a 336 with front ramp. What they do not tell you is that the ramps will vary in height over the years that they have been manufactured. After installing them, my rifle shoots about 12 inches high and the rear sight cannot be adjusted any lower. I asked Truglo if they would exchange my too-short front sight for a taller one (they do make them). No, but they will sell me a new one for another $20.00. Great sights and a great price
I have a Marlin 336 30-30 Lever Action Rifle I love. Why do I love it you ask?? It's a mans gun. It looks rough, kicks like a mule, and was never designed to look pretty! It was designed to work. It is a very quick gun and accurate about to 150-200 yards with open sights. Had a friend by me a scope for this gun. Well we mounted said scope the the rifle and it made it useless. Yes the rifle shot straight, and the scope was very nice, but I am in OKLAHOMA and the brush is so thick you could never get a shot past 150 yards. Long story short I choose to go with the fiber optic sight to allow better vision at lower light setting. Thank you for these. Quality is Disappointing
Overall... the sights pop and really draw in the light. After I installed them, I went back to adjust the rear sight and drift it right and the tension screw just broke off at the head leaving it stuck inside the sight itself. I have been a big fan of TruGlo sights and have their tritium/fiber optics on all my Glock pistols but this experience was subpar.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

TruGlo fiber optic on Marlin 1894
I wasn't sure but took the chance this would fit on my 1894 Marlin. Gladly it did. I wanted to keep open sights on the rifle. But I was having a hard time seein the original buckhorn bead setup. Great sight
I was having a really hard time seeing the front sight on my Marlin 336 and that's why I purchased this fiber optic sight. Well it works great. The only downside is that I was thinking to install the front sight only but the factory rear sight was not high enough for proper sight in. So if you buy it be prepared to change both front and rear sights. (I wanted black out rear sight). It works better with the open front sight hood.
