We live in the Phoenix area (HOT) but in the fall temp moderate and house is so well insulated heat stays in ! So I installed in our 3 car garage close to the utility room and I put a larger 31X18 vent (with one vent that I could close) on both sides of wall above the utility room door . Now when I turn fan on , in cooler temps , I can pull cooler outside air ( with house windows cracked open ) from outside directing all air thru attic and out roof vents ! We do have blown in insulation and does not disturb it at all . I also had one in our first home in Chgoland , which had a basement , now that is the way to go !

Fan was very easy to install considering I was replacing a much older unit. But, had I been installing it as a first unit, the instructions were very clear. The fan is already wired into a pull chain switch so all you have to do is apply power once it's installed. It runs very well, pulling cooler outside air into a hot house. The direct drive takes out the issue of the belt slipping or needing replaced eventually. Quite loud though, with all the air moving. Highly recommended. Hopefully it'll help with utility costs this summer.

It was aittle difficult for one 74 yo man. I should have installed it in the upper gable vent because it is very loud. Otherwise its great to remove heat from the attic and pull cooler air inside after the sun goes down

Easy installation and the money saving benefits outweigh any home cooling option I’ve seen.

Quality product and easy to install. A little louder than I expected though...
