This mask is made of very good rubber and has a clear view face shield, it has a threaded air inlet on the front that is perfect for connecting outside forced air tube for spray painting. its very confortable and the air that comes in blows down over the inside of the face shield much like the defroster in a car. With the air blowing in you can'e even smell the spray paint. Its the best face shield I have ever used in toxic fume areas.

I can find almost no info on this mask on the Internet, maybe I wasn't looking hard enough but a friend of mine gave me the rundown. Started production in 1940 it became MSA'S flagship mask, only surpassed by the very pricey ultra-elite. It has a great FOV and seals well. The only real complaint I have is that the metal and rubber straps will not hesitate to rip the hair out of your head so be careful. It's a nice collectors piece and fits 40mm filters so it can be used to good effect.

This mask is a quality item. Metal buckles and seals well even with low cut beard. It fogs a little but you can still use iron sights. No problem at all seeing red dot. It came with a peel off lens cover which is a nice bonus. I bought this mask for a hard lens in case of rocks thrown etc.

A very nice fitting gas mask at a great price. The seller said that the masks were from the 1980's. The rubber was in great condition. I wiped the rubber down with an ArmorAll Protectant Sponge and the seal on my face was excellent. A few other tests and it's ready for use. Con: This mask comes with a 30mm coupling nut. Unscrew the coupling nut and the mask will accept the 40mm Nato Filters. (Information was provided by MSA.)
