Puncture resistant but heavy
My 26x2.00 weighed 1190 grams so it was even heavier than Schwalbe's claimed weight of 1100 grams. It has a lot of rolling resistance and feels dead compared to lighter and more supple tires. I bought it for my utility and hauling bike because I was tired of flats from goathead thorns and tumbleweeds common on San Diego bike paths. This is my third set of Marathon Plus tires. Here is the truth. They are heavy. They have a "dead" feel. The reason to buy these tires is that they are durable and last.
