Hornady C1550 OAL Curved Gauge
It seems well made but haven't yet really had a chance to put it through it's paces much. I'm not sure yet how i like the flexible wire-bound cable. It's definitely solid but (so far) seems a little stiff moving. I think it should be a pretty smooth action in order to get that "right there" feel of the bullet engaging the lands. I'll keep working with it and see if it loosens up. I will be getting the straight gauge and see if it is smoother. I've read reviews about the "cheap plastic" construction but it would seem that would slide smoother. I bought the curved for my AR but I know the straight gauge will work for it. If the straight is smoother operating then I'll just use the curved for my lever action. Either way, I haven't been disappointed in the Hornady products I've purchased to date.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Much easier and accurate
Takes the guesswork out of determining OAL of your reloads. I was Going through this process backwards before and could never get consistent result that I could really trust. I'm using this tool with a homemade modified shell for wildcats, but I think in the future I'll just send a couple shells and a check to Hornady. Very happy with my purchase.
