Better than stock one
It is longer than the forend that originally comes with the gun, and has a handguard. When racking the slide with the gun facing up(usually only for fun or random, not while shooting) the slide tended to bite your hand. This fixes that. It reduced the amount of twist by the action bars, and the slots on the bottom and sides allow attatchments from magpul. Verticle foregrip, flashlights, different handguards, and more options available to it. Comfortable, aesthetics are awesome when combined with SGA stock.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Fits and is functional in my opinion.
Situation: Mounted on a Remington 870 with 18.5 inch barrel, no heat guard, and rear stock is a Hogue 12.5 inch short stock. Good: It looks good and has the ability to mount MOE rails, lights, angle grips, etc. Magpul makes quality tactical solutions at an affordable price. Bad: This furniture is slick as heck! I find my hand slipping off constantly! It does have "lips" to help with this problem but your hand doesn't angle to make it work. Overall: I think that it will serve the job but will need to be "altered". Skate board tape, rubber strips, etc. (excellent market opportunity). I would like Magpul to either sell a MOE mount for the bottom that adds texture or rubber. I will probably be replacing this or altering it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Magpul MOE M-Lok
Got this for my Remington 870, am happy to say that this is my fourth and final forend for my shotgun. I've tried several others both polymer and aluminum and I wish I ran across this one earlier. Nice alternative style Forend Grip for the Reminginton Model 870 Shotgun.
My shotgun came with a hand grip syle forend when purchased, and while it provided some good aspects, I simply would have prefered something more traditional if given a choice, and so I purchased the Magpul tactical forend grip as a replacement. I found Magpul products to maintain good quality as well as styling/versality to add additional components eg. M-lok functionality. Having said that, I would certainly recommend this style Forend gip for those wishing to upgrade from the OEM grip.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Magpul MOE forestock on Remington 870
This is a great looking and functional addition for your shotty. Adds a longer and tighter interface to the choke tube and barrel over OEM. Does not work well with heat shields, had to remove the composite heat shield and went with a steel model. Crimped this steel model as tight as possible to the barrel and still there was restrictive drag. Reluctantly had to do some sanding to the inner side of the MOE to create enough free space to allow for smooth operation. If only magpul offered foregrip and heatshield set life would be much easier.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
