I was getting absolutely sick of the cue sticks at the local pool hall. They are okay at best, but still just too variable. I did a lot of reading about sticks, and the one piece of advice that stuck with me: You should buy a stick if for no other reason than to have one that is consistent that you know. So I bought this one. It's a great stick. Very straight. Shoots wonderfully. It's not the best, obviously, but it's a thousand times better than those broom sticks they have at the bar! This thing hits solid, and is very consistent. I love the grip on it, I didn't want a rubber grip, I just don't like them. This one is very comfortable. I highly recommend this stick for a beginning amateur who wants to step up their game.
