A Great Bargin
This HU is an outstanding value. The features were exactly what I wanted (don't need a CD/DVD player). Easy to install & wire. Using the equalizer settings the sound is excellent, even with stock speakers. Now for the BAD: 1 This has Pioneers infamous Parking Brake safety feature which requires buying an $12 bypass to get around. Its intention is to stop the driver from watching a movie while under way. But ib addition to that you have to have the parking brake on -just DUMB. The UGLY: the unit has an MP3 & USB jack (both are cables that plug in the rear of the unit) that each work well but there is no way to mount them. Most times I suspect they are routed to the glove box. I opted to buy a $17 USB & MP3 combination with mounts. It can be mounted by making a hole somewhere and has 2 threaded lock rings to secure it (body is cylindrical) or it also came with a right angle mount (typical under-the-dash style). Would I buy this unit again? Yes. For the money its hard to beat it. BTW it will play video via the USB port, haven't tried the MP3.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Sound Clips, suspecting if this is fake..
So i installed this unit into my car and have had it for about 2 weeks now. The good: I can play music now (old radio didnt work) The bad: The sound clips at around 17-18 volume. It really destroys the sound quality and listening experience. In other words the sound quality is poor. Also, the lcd screen is very pixelated. I checked my friend's pioneer head unit and his is very lively and is not pixelated like mine. His screen is very clear. After seeing this and comparing it with mine I am highly suspicious that mine is a fake head unit. I did some research and it says pioneer uses the same lcd in all of their head units. Also sound should not be clipping at a low volume around 17. Due to these two issues I am giving it a 1 star because these issues shouldn't be present with an authentic pioneer head unit.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Minimalistic
What I like about this Pioneer is that it is not overloaded with unused features... like a GPS (we all use Google Maps on our phones nowadays). It also doesn't have a DVD/CD player which I like too... I havent used DVDs and CDs for years. Simple and good quality!
I needed something cheap but wanted it to work good. I bought a few non-name brands and wasted my time wiring and un-wiring and returning them. This cost a little more but the sound is great, it is very fast from screen to screen, and easy to use. Plus I needed a usb port in the rear and a rear view camera port. Like most pioneer products this is a great value with one caveat. If not obvious it has no disc player. I fall into the millennial category so auxiliary, USB and Bluetooth are perfect because I stream but if you still want discs it is not possible.
