Excellent features fro such a small package
This bay enclosure provides 8 hard drive expansion bays for a single 5 1/4 inch slot. The unit itself is well constructed out of metal and because of this is very sturdy. It is a little heavy for the small size, but this is to be expected for an 8 bay expansion enclosure made out of metal. It would be lighter if it were made from aluminum instead of steel, but then the cost might be significantly higher, and the quality might suffer from the very small dimensions required to fit so many drives in such a small space. Overall, it is easy to set up, and features a drive status LED for each bay that contains a drive. Status includes solid light for presence of a drive and a blinking light for drive activity. An activity indicator was not expected for such a compact design, but it is there. Two fans run to cool the drives - one fan for each side cools four drives. Good quality. Easy to set up. Overall excellent value. No foreseeable problems except for periodic cleaning. Easy 5 stars.

Enclosure is very nice and easy to setup. Allows for installation of 7mm drives easily, although when this tight, the screws are a bit hard to work with.
