I got these since they were well reviewed to replace my worn out set for hearing protection while drumming. Of course they also affect the eq ( the frequencies) of the drums which is a huge reason to use these type of hearing protection.. They make drums sound SO good that they inspire you to play. I've found them to be very good - but not awesome. They could be softer around the ears but I'm picking at a good item. They fold up and are priced right.. They are comfortable for about an hour or so.

A year ago I bought Titus Ear Muffs 37dB based on an ebay only search. I am very happy with these, They saved me from going insane, when loud music from neighbours became unbearable. I made a big mistake, in going online on the web to find a backup that would be the best. So there are many tests and the ClearArmor 141001 on many web sites is declared the best. - So I bought it, instead of another Titus 37dB. As it turned out, they are both identical, exactly the same, except for one important detail. The pads that are right on your ears from Clear Armour 141001 are "ROCK SOLID UNFORGIVING HARD", hurting your head when put on. The pads that are right on your ears from Titus 37dB are soft and give way a bit when you put them on for hours. Here is what I think. Both come from the same factory because when you measure them and look at the material, there is no difference at all....except the padding on ear. Further, I believe that my ClearArmor 141001 are just a bad batch, quality control failed. So it is possible that you may get a product equal to Titus but there is one catch. Titus is still cheaper so go for that. (I have no direct or indirect money making connection to either business.)Read full review

Before I bought these, I read a lot of reviews and a lot of them were very positive. They are well made and very comfortable. Went to an indoor range with these and they did work BUT noticed that my ears were ringing a little when I got home. Talked to a few other shooters and some had said that they use ear plugs along with ear muffs when shooting indoors. I guess these work better outdoors?

I have a problem with a young toddler running and jumping in the apartment over my head at all hours of the day and night. The noise has been simply unbearable. I had another pair of ear muffs which did muffle the sound but were very uncomfortable to wear for any more then a short period of time. I can wear the Clear Armor ear muffs all day without any discomfort whatsoever. They are well constructed and most importantly they have eliminated my overhead noise problem. Bottom line - a great product!

This is my third set of safety ears from Clear Armor. My son loves to shoot but has 50% hearing loss in one ear. This makes it very important to have great protection covering his good ear, and to make sure the bad ear doesn't lose any more hearing. I bought the expensive ears out there that require batteries and after trying on my son's I put them back in the box! As advertised!
