All 18 packages were broken open but the glue sticks were fine. I called the company and person I spoke to was very nice and said he would look into the matter but I was a bit surprised he did not offer to replace them.

The glue dries very fast, so once you apply it to the back of a label you have to race to apply the label to the box or mailer. It dries wayyy too fast.
