Excellent Pen!!! Please give it a try!!
This review is for Pilot 823. The nib that I got is F. Is a great product. The quality is excellent. Writes very well. No scratchy nib or flow problems. Is a gold nib so you are expecting a little bit of flexibility but not too much. Is a vac filler so has a huge ink capacity. Quality on the construction of the body.

The best
I'm a bit to the right of center on the pen craziness scale and own many nice pens from respected brands. I hesitated buying this Pilot Custom 823 because of the brown color, but now that I have it it's the only pen I use. I used to carry two or three in my coat for work each day, but this one holds so much ink that I never have to worry about running out anymore. Not even close. It's also proven 100 percent reliable with regards to leaking and jamming, so I don't feel bad without a backup. The color is still growing on me, and the only thing I'd do different in retrospect is purchase the smoke black option.

Fantastic pen
As expected from Pilot/Namiki, the Custom 823 is a wonderful writer and it holds a ton of ink So it doesn’t need to be filled frequently. The plunger mechanism works perfectly, and prevents leaking. Highly recommended - it could easily be the only pen you’ll ever need.

Excellent writer as either medium or fine.
I enjoy writing with these Pilot number 15 nibs, the vacuum filler is a better mechanism than either a piston filler or cartridge converter because its quick and clean.
