I borrowed one from my local Electrical Contractor to change 300 Watt and 150 Watt light bulbs in my shop with 16' ceilings and it was the "cat's Meow" so to speak. I had tried to buy and all I could get was an extendable light pole kit that came in sections that clipped together and two sections, with accessories, were nearly $100.00. Checked E-bay for the Bayco that I used and it was less than 1/2 with telescoping pole and accessories.

JUST WHAT I NEEDED TO REPLACE THE FOUR BULBS PER CEILING FAN OF OUR FOUR CEILING FANS WITH BRIGHTER LED BULBS. NO INSTRUCTIONS FOR LIGHT BULB POLE. LENGTH AND LOCKING IT SO THAT YOU COULD TWIST TIGHT BULBS COUNTER CLOCK WISE AND REMOVE. MOST ANNOYING TO WASTE THE TIME EXPERIMENTING TO GET IT RIGHT. TO FELICITATE THE REMOVAL OF BULBS, MANY MONTHS LATER, I SUGGEST YOU APPLY A LIGHT COAT OF SILICONE LUBRICANT TO THE THREAD OF NEW BULBS BEFORE INSTALLATION. DON'T GET ANY ON THE END CONTACT. SILICONE IS A DIALECTIC, i.e., IT DOESN'T CONDUCT ELECTRICITY :-) THE LED LIGHTS IN MY OFFICE ARE MUCH BRIGHTER. A LITTLE PRICEY, BUT MUCH BETTER THAT TRYING TO WORK OVER HEAD ON A SHAKY STEP LADDER.

I didn’t want to spend a lot for an occasional need. This item fills the bill. It is well made and sturdy enough that I don’t believe I will ever need another one. I’m guessing it depends on how many “tall” bulbs you need to reach. We have 4 in our home due to high ceilings. It would probably not last long under commercial use but totally understandable given the price point. Don’t forget to add the string to the suction cup b4 you start. There is a string and instructions
