too complicated
Had a previous model several years ago. Nice, simple easy to use. But my answering machine on it was poor. Finally decided to get a new one. Spent days setting it up because the manual on the internet has to be downloaded to your computer to print right. I was trying to use the manual directly from the site which had some weird numbers instead of arrows in the directions. Once I finally discovered the problem, it was fairly easy to set up. But I do like the old model much better. Since I am not using Bluetooth or cell phone connections, I cannot say how this works. But it is a nice telephone, priced very reasonable, and so far I have had no problems other than getting used to the change in buttons.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Versatile Home phone System
This is an excellent system to use throughout the home for phone and personal communication. Each handset has its own charging base so all 5 units can be at full charge all the time. Love the easy to see and read lcd screens on each phone and the base unit. Quick set-up Manual made it easy to have the system up and running in about an hour and I'm sure some folks could do it quicker however I just took my time to read everything so I know how it all works. it tells who the incoming call is from which is a wonderful feature so it's easy to screen calls. Overall we are satisfied with this set. However this new model as well as many others that Panasonic brought out is not the same quality as previous models. 1) Our old 2.4ghz panasonic model had no weird background noise such as a muffled humming sound in the background and this happens with these new phones whether we are near the computer where the main base unit is or if we put the main base somewhere else far away from the computer. 2) There is definitely a problem with panasonic not having incorporated the same level of volume that these units can be turned up to...even when the volume is set as high as it will go, we still often have a difficult time hearing the other person talk when using the speaker phone on the base unit...our old phone never had this problem 3) The new phone designs were made more in the way of being flat instead of having a little curve to them like the older models... these newer models make it more difficult to multitask such as gotta get dishes washed but someone calls and so you use your shoulder to hold the phone up to your ear while using both hands to wash dishes but then because of the flat-phone design, the buttons on the phone end up getting pressed when the old phones didn't do this as easily 4) We very much liked how we now get up to something like 3000 names/numbers that can be stored in them, but we didn't like how panasonic reduce the amount of characters by which you could use to type in for the names on your contact list 5) As for the range of the phones being used away from the base unit, this one reached a little further than our old model but was nowhere near what other people had said in their reviews of how it easily reached up to 200-300 feet away.... we're lucky if ours gets up to 100 feet away before the signal gets sketchy and so we bought the Panasonic range extender which we're still testing to see if it actually does any good or is just another useless hyped-up product. And so even though there are some downsides from the older to the newer models, for the price these are now selling for, we can't really complain much since they do a pretty good job for what they were made to do, and we made sure to buy this particular set since it comes with 5 handsets...we only use 3 of them which is one for the computer desk, one for the bedroom, and one for in the garage, and so the other 2 that came with this set is for later on down the road if any of the 3 handsets stops working properly which is inevitable.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Great System
I like that I can have 6 handsets, that they have a belt clip for when I'm walking around, that they connect to my wife's and my mobile phones, and block those pesky sales calls. I also like that the base can be powered from one of the handsets in a power outage (if your phone service is still active). I like the intercom (use it all the time to communicate within the house and to find missing handsets). I like that the handsets have headphone jacks although I've not been using that feature. You need a landline to call out. Ripoff on return refund, they only paid back 50%, it never came in an original box, re wrappin it was not acceptable,
Seems like a fine phone, only used it a few minutes before I realized you had to have a land line to make outgoing calls. We only have the cell service, so we bought a V-Tech phone, they do not require a land line for the cell to send and receive calls through the blue tooth connection. I returned it and only received one half of the original price. I will not order from this seller again, a 50% ripoff on return, they say it was not in the original condition, it did not come in a box, I re-wrapped it and sent it back. great system with easy setup.
Good system that is easy to set up. (1) make sure batteries are in (2) charge all handsets--you can do all of them, even the base without connecting to phone line, Once done, then connect the phone line to activate it and make sure you get a dial tone for each handset/base. 5 phone reciever set
My new phones are great, sound good, easy to navigate, and glad i got them. My old set was Panasonic also, hard to believe how far they have come in twenty plus years. That's right....twenty years, and they still work! Went thru one set of batteries in that time. The reason for purchasing the new set, was to get the baby monitor system, so i could listen in on my wife while she sleeps. She is not well and I am her caregiver.
