Glass Hydrometer Test Jar
Although the plastic base fits it doesn't fit to well. It still holds the glass tube pretty good but when you push it down into it will slide up a little because it is a little smaller than the jar at the very bottom, although that might help if you drop it and it lands on the bottom. I would still recommend it over the plastic ones though as with careful handling the glass jar will last forever.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Thin, Fragile & Wobbly
I purchased this product to use with my hygrometer, upon first use the heat from the contents warmed the plastic base so that it became malleable and would allow the cylinder to tip in a most alarming manner. I emptied the contents & left them to cool. Next morning I picked them up (hygrometer inside testing jar) the hygrometer moved the fraction of an inch allowed it & struck the rim of the cylinder which promptly shattered.
