I really liked the price on these and tried them out in the store before buying them to make sure I fit them right. When you first put them on they seem a little high and a little like a ski boot stance the first time. Also, the arch feels a little higher than my normal boots.
When I put them on and tightened them up they feel very snug but in a good way. You would expect this for a climbing boot. I got them for pheasant hunting as they are built well and have the rubber guard on the toe where I always wear out my boots quickly with the walking in the dry grasses.
I was very happy after walking a lot for several straight days. My feet were not sore and they do well in wet weather and snow as well. Once I got them laced up I didn't want to take them off to go in the house as they take a lot of lacing. But that is a small price to pay for a well built boot that fits snuggly. No sliding around while walking.
These boots are about as well made as can be. My only issue is my right foot is about half a size smaller than my left, so I do have some heel slippage. Not the fault of the boot.
