Great product to save heating costs
in the past 15 years I have gone through 5 of these units. They slowly burnout and I have to replace them. They keep the house warm/cold at the far reaches of the heater ducts. The house would be miserable if I did not have them. The motors die after about 5 years. This is common for this type of motor. So I really love the product. Suncourt Equalizer EQ2 vent booster HC300
I have a wood stove on the 1st floor. I use this vent booster to draw heat up stairs through vents that are in the ceiling of my 1st floor. The vents are just holes with duct work from the 1st floor ceiling into the 2nd floor. Does not make the room warmer.
The booster cycles on and off with the furnace, as expected, but it does not change the temperature in the room. It is noisier than expected. It smells terrible.
