For the price, this set of Army Painter acrylic paints, washes, and effects is great for beginner and intermediate painters. More than enough to get you started or add to your current supply. Dropper bottles is definitely the way to go as opposed to pot style. If your looking for your first upgrade from basic acrylics from box stores, this would be a great start and last you a quite a while.

These terrible red collors!!! They more purple than red. Specialy blood. To take needed colors I have to mix it with black. But paints of good quality and it is a pleasure to paint. You need only one layer and it's a plus.

Great paint set. Lots of colors and specialty paints. Good strong pigments and easy to thin, but don't thin them too much unless using a medium to create glazes (I use liqutex/cheap but good) Shake them well. Como these with the Tone set and you are ready to paint anything imaginable.

Great set of paints for beginners and professionals alike. Rather than spending $4-$8 for individual pots of acrylic paint, this set gives you every color you could possibly ever need, including metallics, washes, a fine detail brush and storage trays.

I've been using cheap watered down acrylics to paint for a very long time. This set is awesome for someone who is wanting to have better quality minis. There are a few colors that still need watered down a little bit and some that don't need watered down at all and go a VERY long way. I've now purchased the shading/effects set not knowing how well they work but if they work half as well as the mega paint set I'll be please.
