Wish I bought this years ago
This is my first ever electric pressure cooker and I'm glad I went with this brand and model. I was looking for something which offered 8 qt capacity, came from a trusted brand with a good reputation and reviews. So I got this. I ended up purchasing the stainless steel inner pot that the company sells for this model. I prefer stainless steel over the non-stick coated one. Still, I ended up pay less than half the price that I'd have to pay for another popular brand. This did not come with the greatest manual in the world, however there is always a learning curve to using electric pressure cookers. You should reference websites, youtube videos and recipes online about electric pressure cookers. If you educate yourself about pressure cookers and electric pressure cookers, you should be fine. I love this Elite Platinum pressure cooker. I've had it over a month and it's changed how I make my meals. It's very convenient and versatile to use. My suggestion on using this is to use a high quality stainless steel trivet when possible. It prevents food pieces from settling to the bottom, possibly scorching and causing the sensors to detect the temperature as too high and automatically shutting off. This applies to all electric pressure cookers. A final note, I wish I had started using electric pressure cookers years ago. Faster and better
4lb Prime Rib in 40 Min., 5 lb's of Carnitas in 30 min, 2 full racks of Pork Ribs in 30 min. And everything tastes better and more flavourful than if I had cooked it the long slow way. Of all my kitchen appliances, and I have them all, this is by far the best one I Have ever bought. Everyone should have one of these in their kitchen. Then controls are simple and straight forward, the lid comes of for easy cleaning, the whole thing is well thought out and easy to use, and the food cooks fast and tastes better. Highly recommended.
