Important Upgrade
With a Tusq nut, strings will almost never bind at the nut any more, putting an end to almost every tuning problem you may get. Most decent tuners will hold tune, and they are rarely the problem when a guitar won't hold tune. The problem is that the strings will bind at the nut, or less commonly, at the contact point(s) of the bridge. If the string can slip through these two choke points, you won't have tuning problems, assuming you have decent tuners and you wound your strings around the posts properly. Tusq is known for producing guitar nuts made of an extremely slippery material that looks like plastic, but works a lot better.
