3m 6300 half mask size large
Excellent quality mask for painting, I purchase The size large on eBay as most big-box stores or paint supply stores do not carry large only medium everywhere you look,if you have an opportunity to try a large try it they fit much better than mediums, make sure you size your mask properly,in my industry it is essential that I have a complete Proper seal ,as my breathing increases or become stronger as respirator cartridges load up, 3M makes the best respirators in the world ,I currently work with this half mask and also a full face mask both size large, I paint trains and locomotives for a living and these are tried and true pieces of equipment a must-have for work emergency preparation or disaster preparedness, you can't go wrong for the price and they will not fail you! If you paint and sand, these are for you.
With the proper filters and a clean shave, I can stand next to a smoker and not smell smoke wearing these 3M respirators. Most importantly, the mask mitigates fumes from painting, and stops harmful particles from fiberglass dust, bedliner application, etc. No other respirator I've used stops cigarette smells, let alone heavy paint fumes. Just be sure you select the correct filters for the job, and again, you need a clean shave for an air-tight seal. These are far superior to other brands, and the selection of filters available is excellent. Mask does a great job to keep Breathing Clean Air
This is the second mask i purchase in about 2.5 years. I work with Fiberglass and Resin and i do alot of Sanding. The mask seals very well around your face and with using the assigned Cartridges in my case its number 6001 for things like pesticides and other types of fumes. It even works well against Cigarettes smokers, i can literally stand next to one of them and not smell any of their Cancer Spreading smoke. I would highly recommend this mask and just purchase the filter cartridges that you would personally need. There are even some for Natural Gas Smell inhalation prevention. But for me this Large size mask #6300 fits great on my face. It is not easy to find parts at the moment so sometimes you just have to get what you can find. Thankfully the mask was inexpensive compared to when i first bought my original mask that wore it self out from the elastic string which is why i bought a full replacement. Now tha package does come sealed but it was NOT machine sealed, it basically had a zip lock type seal on top with the flaps open. That concerned with with the whole Covid 19 pandemic and people Tampering with products prior to shipping, so i used isopropyl Alcohol to clean the outside and inside of the mask prior to using it. Over all i would highly recommend it but i would warn you and advice you to please Pre Clean your mask before applying to your face.
