Great tool
Beautiful beast of a gardening knife. Stainless blade that is sharp on one edge and serrated on the other, makes cutting through thick vines rather easy. The blade is long and strong enough to be excellent at weeding in my raised beds, and I appreciated the excellent quality of the tool enough to get a bottle of tung oil and treat the wooden handle. As an old lady in a life or death fight with an ever-growing invasion of weeds of all kinds, this weeding knife is my lifesaver. Well Made, Pro Quality Hori Hori
This Hori Hori is the best of several that I have owned. It it very strong for digging, and the edges and point have even stayed sharp through my frequent abuse. It works quite well for planting and general weeding, but I use it mostly for digging out gopher holes, to set traps! The soil I work is rocky, and it includes decomposed granite, which is like oatmeal when it's wet, but it's like concrete when it's dry! I was not sure how stainless the steel would remain, but it is still shiny and new looking after weeks of hard use. Made in Japan quality, and well worth the price, IMO. The sheath is nothing spectacular, some kind of durable plastic, but it does its job. Very fast delivery, too.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Works great so far. Strong and good for going deep into roots. Seems sharp enough on the sides but not too sharp. Recommend using gloves for safety. Much better than the traditional weeder tool.
