Hands Down, Best Strings Out There!

Best strings on the planet....PERIOD! I`ve been using D`A`dd`s exclusively for 40 yrs.now. Yes, there are other brands out there I`ve used that sound just as good. Catch: D`Addario`s are the ONLY ones that not only hold their tune and stay bright for a very long time. The tensile strength of these strings are unsurpassed! I am a lead guitar player as well as a very hard strummer. You people know exactly what I`m talkin` about here.Takes a long time even for me to break one! I really can`t believe how affordable they are also. Literally pennies more expensive than cheaper brands! Thanks D`addario, for making the best stings in the world! P.S. this review is on their acoustic strings which I have recently purchased. I use the .009 - .042 on my electrics.

    Good value

They're easy on the fingers. Just don't sound that great. Maybe because I have a parlor guitar? I'll probably try another D'Addario Strings.

  • I've been using these for yeasrs and will keep on doing so.

D'Addario strings already have a good reputation so what more do I need to say? I've been playing guitar for more than 50 years and I've been using D'Addario strings since the 1970's. I've tried other strings and I keep coming back to D'Addarios. I use them on my electric, my acoustics, my 12-string, my mandolins and when I had a ukulele, I used them on that too. I still try other string brands from time to time, I keep coming back to D'Addarios.

  • Excellence, tone and value

They're bright, lively and stay in tune. And when you want the growl it's there surprising every time with the body and depth of tone. Don't be fooled, you might get cheaper but you'll never get better, and it's the same every time. Change your strings often. You'll be glad you did.

  • Nice light weight, nice tone.

I have a 50 year old acoustic that I like feel is a little fragile. So I like to put these lighter gauge strings on. These are nice and they have a nice balance tone. Not too bright but good projection. Nice feel don’t tear your fingers up.

  • Best strings

These are the best acoustic strings I've used. I've tried many brands and models but I end up with these on every acoustic guitar I've ever owned which has been many. Awesome tone and playability!

  • Nice Tone, Good Longevity

I've heard that string manufacturers re-labeled string gauges. What was once light is now extra light. If you've got an older guitar, and you're worried about tension on the neck, bridge, and top, buy a set that's a notch lighter than what you'd been using years and years ago. Extra lights are plenty loud enough unless you're a gorilla. In that case, see if you can find some Mapes heavy gauge. They'll yank the face off your guitar, but you'll satisfy your need to be a genuine irritant until they do.

  • the best action string's

I love the action of these string's, the extra lightweight gauge make's it easy to put on and it also make's it so much more easy on my guitar, and the care of my guitar, plus to me they are so easy to tune with a clip on tuner, in just a few second's your ready to play.

  • 3 sets of great strings at a great price

3 sets of great strings at a great price. I always use either these or coated D'addario Exp-15 or EXP-10 on my many acoustic guitars. They make the best strings out there as far as tone and feel.

  • Good value for money

They are good strings, I have been using them for a long time. The 3-pack-in-a-box option is great, you pay for strings and not for packaging. The weak point is the third string, it tends to break earlier than expected.
