Inexpensive solution
Pachmayr has always made and sold quality products and this is no exception. It's an inexpensive solution to a length of pull problem and facilitates at least two people of different sizes being able to shoot the same gun by simply installing or removing the slip-on pad. Aesthetically, it isn't attractive, but it's far less expensive than having a grind-to-fit pad installed for those merely looking to increase the length of their stock... and it works. I actually prefer a leather slip-on pad, but Pachmayr (or anybody else) doesn't make one for the size stock I have.

Tight is Good
The pad, like several others we have are used in a YHEC program. They allow us to add 1" to the length of pull to youth rifles and shotguns to accommodate larger youth. It's great for this application and gives the shooters confidence that the recoil of the gun will not bother them. This pad does not tend to roll to the side under recoil on our shotguns as do other makes that are a little loose on the stock. Its a tight fit even on our youth CZ 22s. Will buy more in the future as our program expands.

Highly recommended for the vintage marksman
No-frills, lightweight and easy to use, I slipped this over the metal butt-plate of my 8mm M24/47. No skull bashing or shoulder grazing with this rubber stock sleeve. Really cool design and desert tan color adds to the overall aesthetic, if you're into that kind of thing. When I finally get around to shooting I will update my review.

Exceeds my expectations especially for quality.
Put a small size on a Winchester 94 , bought in 1958, to lengthen the stock a bit and it is great. Especially like the small- hard part on the upper end to let it slide on to the shoulder more easily. Beats the expense of paying to have a more permanent one installed and leaves the gun in its original condition.

I have a 308 cal. model 99 carbine rifle that has the plastic butt plate. Shooting 180gr bullets was brutal on the shoulder. This slip on recoil pad fits perfectly and has made shooting enjoyable. I highly recommend It.

instant on and off
Purchased this slip on pad for my Rossi 92 with a steel buttplate. There is some recoil when shooting heavy 44 Magnum loads in it and the slip on took the bite out of them plus added a little extra length on the short stock to give a better feel and fit. . Would have looked a little better in red to match the stock wood more closely, but an instant on and off pad without having the cost of having a recoil pad installed or modifying the stock.
