I have always had great success with Makita products. This hammer drill is no exception. I used it to drill 14 5/8 inch holes in four inches deep in a concrete floor. It did not skip a beat. Never overheated like some other brands I have had in the past would do. One would never know that this was a refurbished unit. It looked new. It has a nice long cord, unlike many brands today that have short or no cords at all. This is a powerful drill so I would suggest using two hands.

This is advertised as a 3/4 inch Hammer Drill , BUT it has a 1/2 inch Chuck , To me that's not a 3/4 " Hammer Drill , Right Case but not the Drill , I returned mine , great if you plan on drilling a couple holes for household projects , I wanted one 3/4" for my construction arsenal of tools

From reviews I’ve read, Makita says this will drill a 3/4 inch wide hole, but the chuck is really only 1/2 inch wide. A little deceiving for sure, but it’s still a great drill for what you can get them for. I got mine for $70 plus shipping. You can’t beat a great deal like that. If it wasn’t for the deceptive description on Makita’s part I’d give this a 5 star rating.

Makita has done it again! I have one of their cordless drills (which is also great), but if you need all day power, this is the one! Highly recommended by me, and a great value. You won't be disappointed.
