Strong and hardens like stone
The clay hardens fast and although it is gray in color (right out of packaging), it turns white after it hardens. It has a very strong smell, that seems toxic - but some people can tolerate it more than others. Because of this, I do not recommend for children. It is great for sculptures and kind of reminds me of the clay in my ceramics class years ago. If you want clay that folds over and blends in well (as your folding it multiple times), this may not be for you. An excellent clay for beginners and experienced artists.
Love Das Clay. It is easy to work with and stores well. I have made many projects with air dry clay. One tip I can give is when your project is dry and you want to apply paint, first cover the dried clay with a good coat of Gesso.
