I'm very fond of BlackHawk Serpa holsters. The push button retention system works so well and fit of Serpa holsters is always perfect. If you need a positive retention system that adds a lot more security than just friction fit, this is for you. These holsters don't work well for concealed carry as in my opinion they stick out much too far from the body and I only use them with the belt option. Think jacket slot duty type holster Also I think the paddle option is rather flimsy and I wouldn't go with this if you plan on using the paddle only as I find them too floppy.

Very well built holster. Perfect fit for a Kimber 5" 1911. The locking mechanism is sturdy and secures the gun extremely well. It is a bit large to use for concealed carry unless you wear a pretty large over shirt. It will definitely "print" under a t shirt. Overall a great holster for the money.

Yeah, if I could give a product a 6 star rating out of a 5 star scale, this holster would get it. I don't get excited about too many products, but this one I DO. I have always been a big fan of form-fitting leather holsters and have had a general dislike of synthetic holster materials. But this Blackhawk Serpa holster secures my model 1911 pistol better than any other holster that I own - while allowing for the absolute fastest draw possible. Oh, and by the way, if I like something I usually own two, because I always want to have a back-up/spare. In this case? I plan on owning three of these. I don't just like this product. I really, really, like this product!
